Heinz Memorial Chapel is a non-sectarian chapel on the University of Pittsburgh campus, a gift to the university from Henry John Heinz and his children.

What's Happening

Summer Hours

This summer, Heinz Chapel is open for visitors Sunday through Thursday from 10:00am to 3:00pm. We offer public tours and tours by appointment for individuals and groups.

Mini Photo Sessions with Kristen Wynn Photography

On Sunday, August 7th, Kristen Wynn Photography is hosting Mini Photo Sessions at Heinz Chapel featuring the Chapel garden and iconic red doors. Sign up for a 20 minute session for individuals and families and receive 10 fully retouched images for digital download. Price is $200 and sessions are offered on the half hour between 1 PM and 4 PM. This is perfect for family photos, engagement pictures, senior portraits, and more! To sign up, email the Heinz Chapel office at heinzchapel@pitt.edu.


While Heinz Memorial Chapel is open to drop-in visitors Sunday through Thursday from 10 AM to 3 PM, if you'd like a docent-led tour you can sign up for one of our public tours or request a private tour. Wedding Packages

Simply Styled ceremonies at Heinz Chapel are back!
Five effortless, all-inclusive mini wedding packages are available for Sunday, June 5, 2022. These 90-minute packages for up to 30 guests include a ceremony with officiant, flowers, music, and photography plus
a champagne toast and cookie table.
