A University affiliation is not required to schedule a funeral or memorial service at Heinz Chapel.
Services may be held Monday through Friday and Sunday based on availability. The fee is payable by a departmental transfer or credit card at the time the reservation is confirmed and is non-refundable.
A separate fee will apply for the services of an organist, if required. Guest organists are permitted for memorial services. A letter of credentials must accompany the written request for a guest organist.
The department or individual scheduling the service is responsible for all details of the service. The Chapel staff can assist with clarifying what those details may include (e.g., clergy, speakers, flowers, printed programs). You can view our Chapel Guidelines here.
Funeral and Memorial Service Fees:
$1,500 – Standard (2.5 hours use of the Chapel)
$1,350 – 10% discount
Pitt student, staff, faculty, alumni and active and retired military
$500 – Pitt department sponsored (IDC transfer)
