The University of Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra will perform a concert of evocative and wide-ranging works for string orchestra. Highlights include what may be the second performance ever of African-American composer Julia Amanda Perry's Symphony in one movement, John Cage's beautifully expansive late work Twenty-three and Antonin Dvorak's beloved Serenade for strings, op. 22.
