Who may be married at Heinz Chapel?

University of Pittsburgh students, alumni, faculty, staff, and members of their immediate families may reserve the chapel for their wedding ceremonies.

Employees of the H.J. Heinz Company, UPMC, as well as members of any University-related board and members of their immediate families also may be married in the chapel. Immediate family includes grandparents, parents, brothers, and sisters.

Reservations and Fees

The chapel office accepts reservations one year in advance, by the month. Fees include the use of the chapel for wedding and rehearsal, the organist, and two on-site coordinators. Learn More >

Our goals are to make the chapel as accessible as possible and to ensure the most positive and pleasantly memorable experience for everyone using the chapel. Our guidelines are based on past experience and are designed to protect the chapel structure and to ensure an equitable situation for all who schedule weddings at the chapel.
